Passenger Requested for Special Assistance

Please contact Airline staff for any special assistance before flight. Noi Bai international Airport will instruct relating sections on these requirements upon request of Airlines as follows.


- Arrangement of chairs nearby boarding gate for passenger requested for special assistance in the departure and arrival lounge of Domestic Terminal (T1) and International Terminal (T2).


- Planning for 2 electric cars to transfer passengers being disable people, elderly people, pregnant women, children in Internatinal Terminal.

Connecting Passenger

1. International arrival passenger taking domestic connecting flight
Passenger follow immigration procedures for International arrival passenger.
After customs clearance, passenger proceeds to arrival hall.
Passenger takes free Shuttle Bus to Domestic Terminal (T1). Shuttle Bus stop is located on the first lane of International Terminal (T2) (details can be found on International Terminal layout – first floor).

2. International arrival passenger taking international connecting flight
Passenger follow the signage to approach the check in counters for connecting flight (there are 6 counters at the centre of second floor, before immigration).
Without taking immigration process, passenger then follow the escalator from the second floor to the third floor to approach the place for the security check for passenger and handheld lugguage
Passenger then follow the procedures for International arrival passenger.

3. Domestic arrival passenger taking international connecting flight
Passenger arrives at Domestic Terminal (T1) following regular procedures.
Ground Handling company pick up passenger for guidance to proceed to public hall of International Terminal (third floor) by Shuttle Bus (the station is out side Terminal)

4. Domestic arrival passenger taking domestic connecting flight
Passenger arrives at Domestic Terminal T1 following regular procedures.
Passenger claims checked baggage the follow escalator or lift to the second floor - Domestic Terminal T1 to check in for domestic flights.

International Departure Passenger

Step 1: Passenger enters departure hall – third floor, International passenger
There are 04 check-in Islands at departure hall:  A/B, C/D, E/F, G/H (each island consists of 24 check-in counters making total of 96 counters)
Kiosk check-in: 10 counters
To get information about check in counters and check in island of each flight, please check information at Schedule flights (flight information).
+ Vietnam Airlines: the islands of E/F, G/H
+ Other airlines: the islands of A/B, C/D

Step 2: Check in:
Passenger present air ticket and personal document to do check in at check in counters or at kiosk check in.




Step 3: Present boarding pass and personal documents:
There are two 02 boarding pass readers at each gate at migration point to identify passengers required for customs inspection and security check for checked baggage:
The card reader signals “no check required”: passengers proceed for migration
The card reader  signals “check required”: passengers will be guided by security staff to Recheck room on the third floor; after checking passengers shall return for migration

Step 4: Immigration:
Passenger present passport and personal documents to migration staff for checking before migration.




Step 5: Security check and customs clearance:
Passenger proceed to security check area and customs clearance, take off personal accessories such us belt, wallet, handy phone, shoes and other items as may be requested by security staffs for security screening along with handheld baggage. Passenger passes through walk through metal detector. After checking, passenger enter departure lounge.




Step 6: Enter departure lounge for departure:
Gates numbered from 20 to 28 are at the right hand side of Terminal (from security check point) – East end.
Gate No 29 and 30 are located in the center of Terminal.
Gates numbered from 31 to 36 are at the left hand side of Terminal (from security check point) – West end.
Details of boarding gates are shown on Terminal layout.

International Arrival Passenger


Step 1: Embarking for Terminal:
After Passenger  Boarding Bridges or bus, passenger will proceed to the central of the terminal for health screening and immigration.

Step 2: Quarantine and immigration check:
Passenger will proceed for health check by going through the temperature scanner dually located in front of immigration counters before completing immigration formalities.

Step 3: Proceeding to Baggage claim area:
After completing immigration procedures, passengers will use the escalator to go to the first floor for claiming their baggage.
Step 4: Baggage claim:
Passengers can get their luggage at one of six baggage conveyors; Passengers having unexpected luggage conditions will make a claim to Lost & Found desk of their airlines.

Step 5: Customs clearance:
Customs inspection will be required for baggage at 02 points before arrival hall:

Step 6: Departing Airport:

After completing customs formalities, passengers will proceed to arrival hall; then proceed to car park in front of Terminal T2 for departing the airport.
